| Joseph A. Strubbe joined Vedder Price P.C.
in 1996 as a Shareholder and is a member
of the fi rm’s Litigation practice area. He
has signifi cant experience in complex
commercial and fi nancial institution
litigation, the defense of major class action
claims, and intellectual property matters.
Mr. Strubbe also has widespread litigation
and counseling experience in matters
involving federal and state environmental
issues, including government and private
cost recovery and contribution actions
under CERCLA, Resource Conservation and
Recovery Act (RCRA) claims, groundwater
contamination claims, toxic tort claims,
administrative and private actions pertaining
to contamination from underground storage
tanks and environmental contamination
claims against contractors. Mr. Strubbe most
recently was lead trial counsel defending a
multinational corporation against trade secret
misappropriation claims, served as National
Mortgage Fraud Recovery Counsel for one
of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders in
over a dozen federal cases, and represented a
defendant in class-action litigation involving
the alleged contamination of over 800 private
drinking water wells. He has also devoted
a signifi cant portion of his practice to the
litigation and trial of contract disputes,
failed transactions as well as transactional
counseling, UCC claims, reinsurance and
insurance coverage matters, and negligence
and professional malpractice matters. Emphasis
Education From August 1985 to August 1987, he was a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Frank J. McGarr, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
